Live Engraving in East Hampton Boutique: A Sweet Brand Activation

I had the absolute joy of setting up shop at Bonpoint in charming East Hampton, offering personalized engraving on kids’ hairbrushes – and it was every bit as adorable as it sounds! Bonpoint partnered with La Bonne Brosse, Hamptons Magazine and Children’s Museum East End for an amazing event!

There’s something so special about seeing a child’s face light up as their name takes form on their own hairbrush. It's not just a brush—it’s their brush. A tiny treasure that ties into their daily routine.

It was a. Warm summer evening at the East Hampton boutique where the kids could come and shop, get their hair done, and paint cookies!

Each hairbrush started as a blank slate—perfect for name engraving and whimsical doodles if requested. Everyone got to choose their specific personalization that was engraved on the cutest brush I have ever seen. They all go to watch as the engraving was done - which is always the highlight!

If you are thinking of hosting a live engraving event here are some quick tips:

  • Keep the setup minimal and clean—pick luxe materials that match the host brand.

  • Offer a few design templates but leave space for customization.

  • Encourage the guests to take photos or videos and share their experience.

  • Make it easy to book or sign up on site so curious shoppers don’t wander off.

This East Hampton engraving pop-up at Bonpoint wasn’t just a super-cute evening—it was a perfect blend of creativity, personalization, and brand storytelling. Seeing the guests admiring their new brushes, full of pride and delight, reminded me why I do what I do.
